DrukMix
DrukMix is the material systems layer of DrukDim. It covers material preparation, feed, extrusion pairings and software integration across the printer lineup.
Material systems
| System | Profile | Throughput | Transport / head distance | Fillers | Typical pairings |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| DrukMix S | Compact single-unit system with manual or bag-based loading | up to 12 L/min | ~15 m / 2 m | no fillers | KuBrick, light demos on Brama D |
| DrukMix L | Base productive system with silos, continuous mixer and pump | ~24-25 L/min | ~30 m / 3 m | no fillers or up to 4-5 mm in filler-ready version | Brama D, Brama F |
| DrukMix XL | Industrial system with higher throughput and filler dosing | up to 50 L/min | ~50 m / 3 m | up to 6-8 mm | Brama D, Brama F, multi-extruder setups |
| Next-generation continuous platform | Next-stage platform for large-scale continuous workflows | configured per project | not publicly detailed | system-dependent | large-scale development track |
Extrusion pairings
| Extruder | Profile | Indicative flow | Typical printers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ex10 A | 10 L chamber with automatic feed from DrukMix S / L | up to 12 L/min | KuBrick, Brama D, compact third-party systems |
| Ex100 M(A) | 100 L chamber with manual control or optional auto-feed from L / XL | up to 15 L/min | Brama D |
| Ex400 M | 400 L total, 4 synchronized screws, industrial multi-head logic | system-dependent | Brama F |
In some scenarios the material system and extruder are chosen as a standard pair. In others they are configured separately around throughput, duty cycle and material behavior.
Printer compatibility
| Printer | Compatible DrukMix | Typical extrusion options | Comment |
|---|---|---|---|
| KuBrick | S or manual mode | Ex10 A | Entry platform for education and small forms |
| Brama D | S, L, XL | Ex10 A, Ex100 M(A) | From low-flow demos to productive mid-scale work |
| Brama F | L, XL | Ex400 M, Ex100 M(A) | Factory-line system with multi-head potential |
| Brama XL | Dedicated next-generation platform | Integrated large-scale module | Platform in development for continuous onsite workflows |
Materials and recipes
At the current stage:
- cement-based mixes remain the main structural direction
- filler-ready operation depends on the DrukMix class
- alternative recipes continue as a separate R&D track
- final matching always depends on real material behavior, not nominal specs alone
Software integration
DrukMix integrates into the open DrukDim workflow rather than requiring a separate closed software stack. That reduces training cost, makes adaptation easier and gives teams coming from conventional 3D printing a more familiar learning path.
